{"id":365,"date":"2020-11-13T14:51:50","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T13:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tugceacemoglu.com\/?page_id=365"},"modified":"2020-11-13T15:21:18","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T14:21:18","slug":"about-my-research-in-doctorat","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tugceacemoglu.com\/index.php\/about-my-research-in-doctorat\/","title":{"rendered":"About my research in PhD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During my doctorate program, I worked at five different institutions, conducted therapeutic group sessions with adolescents using short (animation) films that I chose, and conducted psychoanalytic\/psychodynamic process analysis through detailed transcripts of these sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this thesis, I argue that when appropriate and necessary conditions are met, cinema can be a tool to reach the inner world of the person and can be used as a therapeutic tool, especially when supported by writing work, and I support my hypotheses through clinical examples from my own practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the five centers where I conducted my thesis study, there are psychiatric hospitals and centers that conduct group work with adolescents and conduct therapy processes. In these centers, I met people of similar ages but with different pathologies, so I had the opportunity to work with various groups.
